Bio

I am a Melbourne-based music teacher, songwriter, and producer with over 8 years of experience teaching piano, vocals, and songwriting to students of all ages and skill levels. I have a strong background in contemporary music and music education, and I’m passionate about helping students build confidence, creativity, and solid musical foundations.

Whether you’re preparing for AMEB exams, VCE Performance, or simply exploring music as a hobby, I support students at every stage of their musical journey.

I love having a broad skill set because it allows me to tailor lessons to each student’s individual goals.
Sing but want to learn how to write and perform your own music? I can help.
Need a mix of structured exam preparation with creativity and fun? Absolutely.
Do you play piano and sing, and want to learn how to do both at the same time? You’re in the right place.

Alongside teaching, I actively write, record, and produce original music, allowing me to bring real-world industry insight into my lessons. I aim to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel motivated, inspired, and excited about their musical growth.

Teaching Info

Lessons are tailored to each student’s individual goals, experience level, and learning style. Students can expect a supportive, encouraging environment where progress is clearly guided and celebrated. Lessons are structured but flexible, allowing space for both skill development and creativity.

Each lesson typically includes a balance of technique, repertoire, and musical understanding, with clear guidance on what to practise between lessons.

Depending on the student’s instrument and goals, lessons may cover:

  • Piano or vocal technique

  • Repertoire across contemporary and classical styles

  • Sight-reading, Aural training and rhythm skills

  • Music theory

  • Songwriting and creative exercises (where appropriate)

  • Performance skills and confidence-building

  • Exam preparation

Material is chosen to suit the student’s interests while ensuring strong foundational skills are developed.
