Bio

Metehan Pektas is an opera singer based in Melbourne, Australia. He has been training as an opera singer and choir conductor since 2011 and earned his bachelor’s degree from the Istanbul Conservatory of Music. He pursued dual master’s degrees at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music and Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in Istanbul. Metehan made his Melbourne debut in 2015 at the Arts Centre Melbourne in an opera about the Gallipoli War, Women in War, and was also invited to participate in the Gondwana Centenary Choir Project at the Sydney Opera House in the same year. He has recently worked with Victorian Opera and Lyster Opera, further enriching his performance experience. He is a recent graduate of the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music and continues to focus on his professional development.
