Bio
I’ve been playing drums for over thirty years in a range of styles from concert band to pop, with experience of studio recording and commercial releases, working with solo artists, bands and theatre groups. Equally experienced with both composition/ arrangement and covers work.
Teaching Info
I offer pupil centred learning where the nature of the study is aligned to the student’s development goals focussing on four key topics- Technique, Musicality, Execution and the instrument itself. Students are typically taught in their own homes on their own drumset.
Any ability accepted from absolute beginners upwards. First lesson is a one hour evaluation of capabilities with a discussion of learning objectives. Support also offered with choosing and maintaining a drumset.
Lessons are committed on a week-by-week basis (no signing up for weeks/ months in advance) and lesson times can be managed flexibly.
