Bio

I am an independent musician & guitar tutor based in Naarm. The joy of teaching and seeing students grow gives me a great amount of joy. I have toured states and countries in various bands and enjoying playing a variety of genres and styles of music. I have several certificates that give me the advantage and ability to provide students with a large amount of ability and resources to pass on to students learning journeys. I aim to provide students with the skills they require to achieve their personal goals as musicians. I am an active performer in the industry and often incorporate this into students progress by offering resources to break into the industry if this is a goal for the individual. I enjoy experimenting with sound and styles that contribute to students finding their own individual styles as players.

Teaching Info

I structure my lessons accordingly to each student. Lessons take place in my home and I aim to provide a safe and comfortable learning space for everyone to enjoy their experience with my style of teaching. I provide students with a range of learning tools. Students will be given a theory task suitable to their needs and skill level, 2-3 songs or compositions and exercises to improve techniques and rhythm. I often use a shared playlist that I ask students to share to gauge and connect with the style of playing they wish to learn. As lessons progress I recap on progress and goals that are being worked towards to ensure that the style of teaching is being beneficial all in developing skills. Students are provided with online folders to keep track of lessons and what is required for their achievements, goals  and improvements to continue to work through.
