Bio

I am a Melbourne-based flutist originally from Sydney, with over 8 years of experience teaching flute, piccolo, recorder, fife, saxophone, and oboe.

I am a recent graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and Royal Danish Academy of Music, and am now studying at the Australian National Academy of Music.

I have been Principal Flute of the Australian Youth Orchestra, which included playing on their 2025 International Tour to the Netherlands, Germany and Austria, as well as other orchestral and chamber music programs. I have also played with the Sydney Youth Orchestras, Sydney Philharmonia Choirs Orchestra, Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, and other Sydney-based freelance ensembles.

Teaching Info

My interests lie particularly in guiding beginners through technical fundamentals and introducing them to the flute! I am most experienced with students aged 7-10, and enjoy encouraging learning through games and solid technique.

I have also enjoyed helping adult hobbyists find repertoire and exercises that will challenge them while still maintaining motivation, and finding a practice routine together that won’t disturb a busy lifestyle.

I have experience coaching AMEB Grades Preliminary to CMus, averaging Distinction results, and supporting school students through band repertoire.
