Bio

My name is Antoine Flores Gracia, and I’m a 29-year-old who recently relocated to Melbourne. I hold a Master’s Degree in Classical Saxophone Performance from the Sibelius Academy (Helsinki, Finland), as well as Pedagogy and Musical Research Master’s Degrees from Valencia International University (Spain). I have been teaching saxophone and music for the last decade, and I find it very meaningful to connect with students through the language of music.

In addition to my teaching experience, I have conducted numerous masterclasses in Spain, Finland, Mexico, USA, Cambodia, and Argentina. I bring a wealth of experience in playing solo, chamber music, and as a soloist.

Whether you’re a beginner, student, or professional saxophone player, there are always aspects and skills we could work on during the lessons. Regarding my music methods, I like to use several book methods that allow me to have all kinds of exercises. Along with them, all the personal exercises I’ve experienced over the years I’ve been playing the saxophone provide a huge range of exercises and musicality needed to play music.

Furthermore, I believe that it’s not only important to play the instrument itself but also to prepare the musician to perform in public. Both aspects are extremely important in order to succeed in providing the audience with an outstanding performance and feeling good and convinced on the stage.
