Bio

I am currently studying a Bachelor of Music at Monash University, specialising in voice and performance. As an experienced vocalist with over seven years of formal training, I have developed a strong foundation in both contemporary and classical performance practices. My performance experience spans a wide variety of settings, including graded recitals, musical theatre productions, and live performances at pubs and restaurants, both as a solo artist and as part of ensembles and bands.

In addition to voice, I am also an accomplished guitarist with extensive experience performing in solo, small ensemble, and full-band settings. I have contributed to numerous live projects and recording sessions, further strengthening my musicianship and versatility as a performer.

Alongside my performance career, I have experience teaching at music studios, where I teach singing, beginner guitar, and beginner piano to students of various ages and skill levels. Through teaching, I have developed strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills, while fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment for my students.

I am deeply passionate about both music and education and am committed to continually developing my skills as a performer while inspiring others and sharing my love of music.

Teaching Info

Students can expect a supportive, engaging, and personalised learning environment in each lesson. I adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s individual goals, learning pace, and musical interests, whether they are working towards formal assessments, developing their technique, exploring songwriting, or simply playing for enjoyment.

Lessons focus on building strong foundational skills such as technique, tone, rhythm, and musicality. For vocal students, this includes breath control, pitch accuracy, expression, and performance confidence. For guitar students, lessons cover chords, scales, strumming and picking techniques, basic music theory, and repertoire development. I also incorporate ear training, improvisation, songwriting, and performance preparation where appropriate.

For beginner piano students, I use a beginner piano grading booklet designed to build fundamental piano skills and healthy playing habits from an early stage. Lessons focus on developing basic music theory, note reading, rhythm, hand coordination, posture, and technique in a fun and engaging way that encourages confidence and a lifelong enjoyment of music.

Lesson lengths can be 30, 45, or 60 minutes depending on the student’s preference and level. I offer mobile lessons and am happy to travel to students’ homes, providing a convenient and flexible learning experience tailored to each student’s needs. A travel fee of $10 applies to all mobile lessons.
