Bio
Maintaining musical individuality is a core value in my teaching style. Everyone has different learning styles and it’s important that every student’s learning needs are being heard and met. I know first hand that singing or playing an instrument in front of others is both a beautiful and vulnerable thing, so I want to ensure that all students are supported.
Fostering a safe space that allows students to feel comfortable to express themselves through the skills we learn together is a top priority.
Another big focus in my teaching is the aural component to learning. As musicians, especially for vocalists, having a good grasp on the aural components of learning a song before putting them into practice is an invaluable skill. This helps students have a reference point which helps in terms of building individuality and gaining confidence.
As I like to cater the lesson to suit each student’s individual needs, I like to offer options in our lessons to make sure whatever we are working on is valuable to each student. I have a lot of experience in teaching technique, stage presence, song writing, theory, improvisation and more.
I offer discounts for any bulk lessons purchased. Initial lesson is an hour. Please get in touch if you have any questions!
