Bio
Charlotte Roberts is a distinguished Melbourne based pianist who is a regular performer and experienced teacher. Charlotte graduated with her Bachelor of Music degree from The University of Melbourne in 2024, majoring in Classical Piano Performance, where she worked with various internationally recognised musicians. She is now undertaking her Honours year of Classical Piano Performance, intending to pursue a Master’s degree, studying under the renowned musician and pedagogue, Coady Green.
Charlotte’s musical journey began at the age of six under the tutelage of Shaun Jones at Ruyton Girls’ School, where she studied for several years. She was the conductor of ensembles and was frequently involved in school chamber music. Charlotte was subsequently awarded the prestigious Dux of Music Performance at Ruyton and completed her AMEB Grade 8 examination.
Charlotte has performed both in Australia and internationally in Chile. She regularly performs in Melbourne around various venues such as the Melbourne Recital Centre and Hansen Dyer Hall, alongside private salon-style soirees. She has participated in masterclasses led by renowned figures in the music world, including Leslie Howard, Alexander Peskanov, Ian Holtham, and Jerry Wong. She is also the Artistic Director and founder of ‘The Fitzroy Chamber Music Series’ held at St. Mark’s Church, in Fitzroy. She programs both internationally acclaimed and emerging Australian artists to nurture the artistic life and culture in Melbourne.
In addition to her performance schedule and academic pursuits, Charlotte is the founder of ‘Roberts Piano Studio in Fitzroy’, where she teaches on a grand piano. She is passionate about inspiring students to share their love of music, offering personalised lessons tailored to both AMEB Grades and leisurely learning, along with regular, friendly performance opportunities.

Working with a wide range of teaching resources Charlotte caters lessons to the student’s level and ability. Lessons focus on developing technique and musicality, alongside building caring and positive relationships to empower students in their musical development. She aims to make lessons as fun and intriguing as possible, while assisting students to reach their highest musical level.
