Bio

Corinna Jane is a trusted, kind and highly experienced singing teacher with a wealth of knowledge to impart. She has many decades of experience in the Melbourne music scene as a singer, songwriter, recording artist and performer, currently holding over 30 releases on Spotify. Corinna is a fully qualified teacher who has been teaching vocals since 2008, at places such as Billy Hyde and the Firebird School of Music. Starting off in rock, blues and soul genres, Corinna did extensive work in cover bands singing material by Aretha Franklin, sang live on MTV as a member of Magic Circle Club, finalists for the Yamaha Rock ’91 competition, and much more. Corinna has now acquired an international reputation as an EDM (dance) artist, with 3 club hits under her belt.

She teaches all ages, most genres and all levels of vocal ability.

Whether you are an absolute beginner, starting to find your way, style and sound as a vocalist, or a seasoned professional in need of just a few adjustments, Corinna can help develop your voice to suit your needs – not someone else’s idea of how you should sound.

All lessons are individually tailored, in a fun yet safe and deeply supportive environment.

Usually, Corinna teaches in person, but lessons via Zoom are also possible.

Teaching Info

Corinna’s teaching style is gentle, intuitive and out of the box – but it gets swift results with lasting results. It is based on decades of experience singing in studios and for audiences.

You will learn how to control your voice with impeccable technique, expand your range and flexibility, gain courage and deep-down confidence in yourself, emote freely, enhance your natural tone, increase power, understand how to protect your voice so that you can build stamina and sing safely for hours on end, and learn how to harness all that makes you truly and uniquely YOU when singing.

Corinna can also assist with songwriting, including overcoming writer’s block, as well as stagecraft, microphone technique, stage presence and performance, recording skills, music business, event management and general creativity.

For the initial meeting, please wear comfortable clothing, bring water and have at least one song in mind to work on (but there is no need to feel that it must be perfect). It is entirely natural to feel some nerves, but you will be in good hands.
