Bio

Hi there, I am a professional violinist and highly experienced violin teacher currently based in Melbourne CBD. 

I am an active violinist performing regularly with orchestras in Melbourne including Orchestra Victoria and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. 

Previously in New Zealand I performed regularly with all the major orchestras including the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra and the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra. 

I have many years of private teaching experience having taught previously at Epsom Music School in Auckland and also at Providence Christian Academy – an international school in Seoul, South Korea. 

I have also taught privately for many years, helping students pass their ABRSM/Trinity Violin Grade exams all passing with Merit or Distinction. 

I have a Master of Music degree from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Music (First Class Honours) from the New Zealand School of Music in Wellington.

I am able to travel to you in Melbourne CBD and inner city suburbs (fee includes travel) and I am happy to help with AMEB exams if required. Please enquire for available times/locations via text or email thank you 🙂

Teaching Info

I like to start each lesson with scales and technical work after which we will work on repertoire. I use the Suzuki books and/or Grade books or whatever pieces the student may be working on, and at the end if there’s time I like to play duets with my students for sight reading practice.
