Bio

Hi, I’m Leo — a trumpet player and multi-instrumentalist who loves everything about music. I’ve been performing jazz professionally for the past three years and have played in both small and large ensembles, across jazz and classical styles, on trumpet, flugelhorn, cornet and other instruments like guitar, upright bass and electric bass. I’ve spent years studying and performing music, and I’d love to share that experience with others.

Teaching Info

I believe in a student-led approach: the more committed you are to learning music, the more committed I am to helping you become a better musician. Specifically, lessons would focus on fundamental skills such as warm-up routines, practice techniques, and music theory, as well as, of course, learning repertoire. We can spend an entire lesson deep-diving into a single piece of music or exploring exercises to add to your practice routine, depending on your goals. In addition, I am more than happy to teach the basics of jazz and improvisation.

I also offer one free lesson before you commit to me as a tutor.
