Hi, I’m Nick J Harvey – a solo artist, songwriter, and passionate guitar tutor with over 25 years of experience playing, performing, and recording music.

I teach electric guitar, acoustic guitar, studio craft and bass, helping adults players (beginners and restarting) of all levels unlock their potential.

My lessons are built around what I call the triangle of musicianship: melody, rhythm, and harmony. By strengthening these three elements, students develop not only technical skills but also the confidence and creativity to express themselves through music.

Over the years, I’ve honed my music craft blending traditional techniques with modern approaches to keep lessons engaging and effective.

Outside of teaching, I work as a recording artist and producer in my own studio. This hands-on experience allows me to share real-world insights into tone shaping, arrangement, and recording techniques ; skills that can take your playing beyond the practice room.

My lessons are built around my Triangle of Musicianship: rhythm, melody, and harmony,  and they’re designed especially for adult beginners and adult restarts.

When you strengthen these three pillars, everything gets easier: timing locks in, the fretboard makes sense, chords feel more natural, and your playing starts to sound musical, not mechanical.

That’s when songs, improvisation, and writing your own parts stop feeling confusing and start feeling fun , because you finally understand how the pieces fit together, step by step.
