Bio

I teach violin at the University of Melbourne/ Conservatorium of Music, Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School (VCASS) and at my private studio.
I am currently Associate Principal Second Violin with Orchestra Victoria and previously held 1st Violin positions with chamber orchestras Israel Camerata and Sinfonietta Riga.

My lessons are designed for each student’s aims, balanced between technical and musical development – a combination of European and Russian violin schools, includs general knowledge and music theory.

In lessons, I use demonstration through playing, provide piano accompaniment and play violin duos with students. Students have the opportunity to perform at the yearly student concert.

My teaching is aimed at setting individual goals, including preparation for exams, auditions, performance and competitions.
