Bio
Taryn has been traditionally trained in both Piano and Voice, commencing music lessons at age 4. Passionate about teaching she has been teaching Private Piano for 20 years and Early Childhood Music for 17 years. Always keen to adapt and provide a motivating and relevant learning environment Taryn loves to tailor lessons to individual students. In particular children with special needs are welcomed.
With a love of learning herself, she continues to pursue further training for her own musicality.
She can also be found around Melbourne performing with her Barbershop Quartet.
Teaching Info
Piano Lessons for older children follow a traditional format. All students work from a method book which is supplemented with additional repertoire for a well rounded musical development. Lessons include piano time and ‘off the bench’ games and activities to develop piano technique, theory basics, aural training, healthy practise habits, rhythmic understanding and musical confidence.
